parfait

Parfait

would be perfect:
A tall, sundae glass
with layers of ice
cream, then fruit,
and then whipped
cream, all middling up
towards the top, layered
in, and then finally
topped,
with a tumbling
dollop of each. And then,

for before,

to begin:

Parfait,
of barbecue - pulled pork
in barbecue sauce,
potatoes so creamily
mashed, all hot,
and tart coleslaw
in layers, arrayed
in a tall sundae glass.

Parfait. That

would be perfect. Now,

whom shall we ask?
