comforts and commodities

You're so sharp,
so smart, so yourself
in too many ways to tell,
and every day I'm deeper
into you.
I can feel myself slip,
like I wanted to, and maybe
like you want me to as well?

Not to have, or to hold,
just to be sociable,
and to know that whenever
you've given up,
there's someone you know
who'd buy your soul,
and never expect it
to bring him luck.
