that keeps us tuned in,
for year after year, in the midst
of whatever else action-packed,
mythos-advancing or scare of the week
the writers work in,
until things peak
popularity-wise, and a trend
towards descent eases in, at around
the fifth season, or so
as a stunt, all a sudden,
away we go
