the caped police in uniforms
all different, personalized
and warm
so bulletproof and hard
they are
as they invite us in:
your public house
now! Pass
the bar
this beatdown we
all deal sound thunk
and skin bone break
we voted up
so present now:
a gift to you
all couchbound critics
coming due shall
hail! Hail! Hail!
Since they don't want
to fall in pools
or alley stunt
to be upheld
by forumed forms
in shadow caps,
star-chambered wells
so won and worn
to meet their fates
so far
from
gaol's
private
disgrace
