The immediate stranger
has just arrived. The one
you feel people have talked
about
in general, in
the abstract, how
good the candy is, how
much you should not talk
so you just beam and listen
- the stranger, they say
has a van. But this one
it turns out, doesn't.
Perhaps it's a case
of identity, some mistakes
once made, are easy enough
to straighten out
