imagination's endless melodramatic death scene

We all take the imagination we're dealt,
and what we do with it determines
what it does with us.

Whether we believe it, especially.

Mine is horrible
but luckily, I never did believe
all the monster-movie moments
that unfold around me.

I prefer to believe
in what you say you have meant,
and will mean. To me,

it's a bloody absurd
British humour-type comedy,
where nothing happens, probably
- and all of it gold.

And the monsters circle warily
in outer-dark corners, waiting
for the night

they can increase their hold.
