I bet
Batman never realized 
he wears eye makeup 
until 
that first movie.
A few test fittings,
checking the light: "Damn, 
that looks terrible," 
he thought. "Campy, 
like the tv show."

"I can't glare balefully
at people like this. I have eyes 
that float ghostly in the darkness
of my cowl, damn it!" 

Thank god for prep time,
