30 days halve September, therefore:
Sep
Tem
Ber
...must count
twenty days per syllable
in full amount. 'Twas one September
Sixty-first, November
with horror observed
it must have only been
so-called
because it 'Vembered not at all
Oct
Toe
Brr,
reduced and squeezed
to one full day and night
had sneezed, and blew

it out

of misery.

December wrapped the body up
and slapped a label on: "To: From"
and "WARNING: Do Not Open
Me"

and no one did that year. This day
was from the months deduced

not to be
eh?
