property room backstage? or
I could be a prop
like a crutch or a cane
that you desperately need
while you get someplace -
it makes a difference, though
if I'm just for show, well
put me away
until opening night
When the crowd has paid,
and you're all they see
if the play turns real
you can lean on me
this is your spotlight.
