The servant
half-seen, sometimes invisible
and shared between us,
busies itself unmindfully
with care, on automatic tasks
we hold ourselves too high
to share, and yet
somehow these things get done.
When one of us hides half ourself
the other looks away, or runs
and comes back later, smiling
to find each other quite at ease
amidst the ordered everything.
