You Be The One

Turn the corner, here right
about a hundred miles back
and I don't know if the map
really has this part.

Let's call it a road trip
and see what comes,
if we drive
towards the light in the sky

Whether we get there
is half the fun

Just you be the one,
please, you be the one.
I know I am two, if you
could be who I was counting on.
Just you be the one,
then I will be two,
and call it a song.

With a one and a two
and the way we've gone,
Between us, do we have
the math for this?

But simple is best,
in ignorant bliss.
If we fly to the heights
our fancy can kiss,

Whether we find it or not,
we'll have this.

Just you be the one,
please, you be the one.
I know I am two, if you
could be who I was counting on.
Just you be the one,
and I will be two,
and call it a song.

What time is it, girl?
Are we almost there?
Let's just sing along
at the tops of our lungs

And trust in the fates we don't admit
Have found us half-way

to the start of it,

And move on from there.
We'll be moving on
to wherever you say,
I'll turn, just

You be the one.
