sipping system

I take odd and even numbered sips.
Every time! No breaks or skips. It's
always even.

Or, it's odd.
                   And
every other sip, I nod.

Although, I
like to mix it up.
Sometimes, nod evens.
Other times, I'm nodding
odds without a doubt.

I always know

if not the count, then
whether this sip's even or odd,
and whether I 'll nod
this time or next, or what.

It's sip (nod), sip,
sip (nod) all day! I have it
down neat without
thought or delay.

It's only with sips.
Say whisky, or gin, hot
coffee or sometimes sippin'
tea. Cold water or beer, or
chuggin' tea? I don't
bother to count.
Or nod.

With big drinks,
please. I've no
use for frivolity.
