the bill

Our rights are established in fairy realms, made real
by blood and steel and lead and bone and flesh
and sacrifice, 'til everyone opposed is dead.
Tyranny and force indeed. A menace, threat
and warning dire to all to whom we give it up:
thine power isn't much, messire.
