I always apologize for the alcohol
even though everything I say is true
when I'm drinking it
Sometimes I think
the alcohol should apologize for me,
but it can't
it won't. So I apologize for it,
and the truth
I know you will not get.
I'm always behind
a drink or two.
I could try to catch up,
but it's only fair
that I don't.
