moonlit turn

The buttons on her coat,
shiny bright in double row
glowing soft upon the cloud-grey wool,
disappear by turns

like so many silver moons.

She weaves back turning falling light
in and out in pirouette.

The wool goes milk then black
by turns, as rows of moons

remember and forget
