lone star

There is only one star
in the noontime sky,
always chasing its
playmates around
the earth, never

catching them up -

warned as they are
by the fiery band
of dawn's new birth.

What a lonely existence
poor Sol has found! Well,
the lesson to us is: don't
outshine

the others so much.

You will end up alone

In an endless blue,
a world apart from
your kind.
