illude/elude etude

It's because you see
illusion is so immersive
and prevalent. It pervades,
past the point of notice or
remark, and is so unelusive
and ineluctably
unelusable

that rather than even trying

to eluse it, we lose ourselves
in it.

Between it and what
we call real, it's scarce
we could pick
a point of difference.

It is
it seems
how we feel
