old saws

Take one old saw, applied
just
right to cut
between the sentences
of more original turn and tilt.

It's just the thing you meant it is. 

No need to get creative, now. 
No one doubts what that old
saw means. Goes without saying, 
anyhow! Yet bears repeating, so

it seems.
