good advice for poets or anyone

When you take your hand,
plunge it into your chest
breaking your rib cage
on the way through
to grip and seize

your heart

and draw it forth fresh,
beating and dripping, that's
some grisly stuff, there buddy.

Hint hint: try metaphor instead.
More heartfelt nods and appreciation.
Less

screaming
