Let's take what we have left
and put this all together
into something that feels
finished,
so we can leave it here
as a monument to "us"
(whatever that is), or
as a warning to others?
Either way there's work:
the pieces have been strewn
all over the place,
and the persons and things involved
all feel very replaceable
by now
