safe from me

Safe from me
Safe from me
I wish you were
I wish I was
because you will
waste precious years
of all your life
you can't get back
I won't give up
although I know I
should

I really should

I still
will waste your years
upon myself
not giving up
those miracles
that never come
I wish you could
be safe from me

because I know
I never could
I never could
I never will
I never will

and so I will
and so you won't
be safe from me
but maybe if
you throw it all
away

I'll catch

Nice rhythm here. I enjoyed browsing. Now I'm hungry for one of those soft, doughy danishes.

You do like to throw that curveball at the end, don't you. This one was dogged and on-point, driving it all home, right up until that U-turn, where everything jumps the track and you're back on a country road. But it's a dark country road, and you are almost out of gas.
