Trust me, I do exaggerate
but I have my reasons.
I mean to give you huge
things back, for all you've
given me. Right-size,
enormous, more than fits
in available words, normally
and so without even meaning
not to, I stretch - reaching
too big, perhaps! And yet
at the end, in
the moment of gift,
it fits
like a magic trick.
And each word weighed,
and each word true. If
you say, "too much!"
don't worry.
I do, too.
