We're supposed to watch
our kids. And we do, of course
we do, but at the same time
we have to be aware
a child feels safest
when it isn't watched.
Absorbed in play, in
building some inner
world, best it can
with available external
materials, completely
unaware that we're watching
but we are
of course we are
all creepy and shit
