Tomorrow is forgiving,
but today can punish
- while yesterday reaps
its endless crop.
Whatever we possibly push
from today,
to land in the future -
our burdens will drop.
At least for time being,
we might be okay.
We're gathering strands
of whatever's to come,
and beating fish back
as they jump in the boat!
It's too nice a day
to get anything done
