Somebody buying a drink
after a fight
that never escalated past words
is a trivial gesture
of respect repaired and affirmed.
There isn't any reason to feel
that a triumph of human reason
and dignity, amity, bonhomie
has occurred. However
there isn't any particular
reason not to, either. And
the drink has already
been served.
