Expect from life

we are bound to expect
certain things. We are almost sure
to get them:
a certain amount of misery
a certain amount of discomfort
of diarrhea
of fever
a certain amount of piercing earache
of teeth-grinding headache
of stabbing toothache
of uncontrollable nausea
of blinding migraine
of involuntary groans, especially
a certain amount of hearing
improbable numbers of people say:
"I've never been sick a day
in my life."

Anything you have to say - question, critique, interpretation, praise or rebuke - is received with gratitude and interest.

If it looks like spam and contains a link, though, it will not be published. I will cherish it to myself, instead. Thank you!
